Lots of Socks day is a great cause to be wearing some really amazing socks - the funkier the better!
For those who don't know: Down syndrome occurs when an individual has a full or partial extra copy of chromosome 21. This additional genetic material alters the course of development and causes the characteristics associated with Down syndrome.
Down syndrome occurs in people of all races and economic levels and there are more than 400,000 people living with Down syndrome in the United States.
Socks and Souls is encouraging everyone to take part in this great opportunity to show of your greatest socks - the choice is yours, but we ask you to join us in wearing something which people will ask you about so that you can tell them all about WDSD.
It is easy to do, so whether you are at home, nursery, school, university, work, play, travel, holiday or anywhere, join in!
